3rd & 7th Blocks 2/26/20
- Silent Reading for 10 minutes
- Reading log, just like always
- Open the "Unit 1" document from Monday and make a copy. Scroll down to "Comprehension Practice" and click on the link. Do #D3 (3rd block) / D9 (7th block) and put a screenshot in the "CP #2" box. We'll go over the answers on Friday if we need to.
- Go to your gmail and find a link to the slideshow that I shared with you last night. Work with the others in your group to prepare a simple presentation. It shouldn't take more than 10 minutes to prepare.
- Get a copy of To Kill a Mockingbird from the stacks next to my printer.
- On the inside-front cover, write your name and put "S20" in the space for the year. If someone else already wrote "S20," choose a different book. If you need more books, they're in the cabinets above the printer.
- Look through the book a little and put the condition in the box next to the year. For example, on mine I put "holes in back cover," so I wouldn't be blamed for the book getting damaged. - Read chapters 1 & 2. We'll have a quiz over these two chapters on Friday. You can probably find an audio version online, if you want to.
- Then use the Unit 1 document to complete a "Chapter Reflection" over each of those chapters.
- If you still have time, you could work on Simple Stuff 16-20 and/or start making a list of characters in the "Other #1 box" on your Unit 1 file.
